Teen Gothic

I'm looking for goth songs or band that have/use brass instruments. I just know "The Passenger" by Siouxsie and the Banshees and "A Night Like This" by The Cure.

My friends always describe the music i play as weird so I need some recommendations to slowly expose them to goth. I’ll make bauhaus fans of them yet!

i know i have some random songs on here lol, just thought they fit the vibe. anyways, i mostly listen to 80s rock and new wave, goth is a music subgenre i’ve been getting into for about six months now. im not looking for recs from super obscure bands btw, mostly more well known stuff!

Just started listening to Christian Death and I’m really enjoying them!! What is your favorite song by them so I can put together a playlist 🙂

I didn't know what flair to use. I'm just looking for really depressing goth songs, something in the style of 'People' by Rosetta Stone and 'Disintegration' by The Cure if you catch my drift. I want to make a playlist with songs like that in it and I haven't had the best luck finding any with that specific vibe

For me, Siouxsie's "She's a Carnival" hooked me immediately and is what really began my journey into goth music.

Although, I also deeply loved "Lovesong" growing up (and still do), but that feels like WAY too easy of an answer.

Edited: A fair point about needing to be genre appropriate. A non goth band doing a cover of a goth song, kinda strips that song if its goth quality.

What songs have you all found, that are performed by a different goth or goth adjacent band that you've enjoyed?

I found Cities in Dust by Czarina (which I found through the Cemetery Confessions Sinister Suggestions segment) to be nice.
